“To be human is to need others, and this is no flaw or weakness.”
- Dr. Sue Johnson
Welcome
You are too hard on yourself, holding yourself to unrealistic standards. Others tell you that you are “too sensitive” and “overly emotional,” or you hold your emotions in tightly to protect yourself. You feel stuck in your life and relationships, getting in your own way with the negative, self-defeating stories you tell yourself. I believe that people are inherently resilient.
Approach
Using a supportive and empowering approach, I work with individuals to tap into their inner resources, learn new coping strategies, and better understand themselves and their relationships in order to move forward and reach their full potential. I strive to create a safe, compassionate environment in the therapy room where you will feel valued and appreciated while doing the hard work necessary to move toward healing and growth. I believe the most important part of this process is developing a genuine and truly collaborative therapy relationship.
